Join Tepra in this relaxed salon-freestyle Asian Fusion tutorial featuring Cooper, a young Cavoodle learning the ropes. This is a beautiful look you can recreate in the salon - balanced, practical, and irresistibly cute. Tepra walks you through how to work with a softer coat, create those signature teardrop ears, and shape a tidy, expressive face that flatters the dog’s natural build. It’s all about achievable style with professional polish, perfect for groomers who want to add a touch of flair to their everyday oodle grooms.

In this Tutorial, You will learn:

  • How to perform an Asian-inspired salon trim suited to everyday client dogs.
  • Techniques for masking structural traits such as a low tail set or slender frame.
  • The correct clipper lengths and starting points to prepare the body for scissoring.
  • How to build balanced leg shapes with smooth transitions and lifted bevels.
  • Efficient scissoring techniques using overlapping lines and correct body angles.
  • Methods for keeping young or fidgety dogs calm and secure during grooming.
  • How to maintain coat texture and shape longevity using scissor spray effectively.
  • Step-by-step creation of a teardrop leg and donut-style head shape.
  • Tips for ear trimming and airflow management to support canine health.
  • Professional balance and symmetry checks for finishing Asian fusion styles.

Tepra has quickly risen through the dog grooming ranks after opening Barkingham Palace Dog Grooming & Day Care in Sydney’s Southwest just six short years ago.

Training under certified master groomer and co-founder of igroomhub Nicky Renwood in Melbourne – Tepra has gone on to become a much-respected business owner and friend of many furry customers in the local region.

Tepra also enjoys competing across Australia in competitions, and recently won her maiden first-place ribbons in Perth and Newcastle respectively.

Always looking to improve and hone her craft, Tepra has travelled across the country, learning from some of Australia’s best groomers.

Barkingham Palace has also won the Pet Care category at the Local Business Awards on two occasions and has been nominated for six consecutive years since the salon opened in 2018.
