Block 5 is the final stage of the Industry Certification Pathway. It is an advanced, self-directed course designed to support experienced groomers in refining high-level skills, expanding professional capability, and demonstrating senior-level competence within the industry.
This Block recognises that advanced grooming development occurs over time, through continued practice, specialist training, and industry involvement.
Assessments are completed after coursework, with flexible options for submission.
WHERE THIS BLOCK FITS IN THE PATHWAY
Block 5 follows successful completion of Block 4 and represents the final stage of the Industry Certification Pathway.
It is designed for groomers who are already working professionally and are ready to move beyond structured instruction into independent refinement, leadership, and advanced practice.
This Block supports long-term professional growth rather than short-term skill acquisition.

TIME COMMITMENT AND ASSESSMENT
Block 5 is intentionally paced to allow completion over an extended period, typically around 12 months.
Practical assessments are completed after the learning component and must be submitted within 6 months of finishing coursework. Assessments may be completed via video submission or in person.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Block 5 is available to students who have successfully completed Block 4 of the Industry Certification Pathway.
This stage is suited to groomers who are working professionally and seeking senior-level certification through continued development and assessment.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
On successful completion of Block 5, students are awarded the Industry Certification of Senior Dog Groomer, recognising advanced technical skill, professional maturity, and ongoing industry engagement.
